CAP12 Prescription Glasses

A cat-eye is one of the most flattering shapes you can wear. The CAP12 is a women’s full-rim metal cat-eye frame in Gold, Silver or Black/Gold. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Capello range.

Choosing your CAP12 colour

Gold. Gold is a warm, soft gold. It suits warm and olive skin tones beautifully.

Silver. Silver is a clean, bright silver. It is a quiet, professional finish that works with navy, charcoal and white.

Black/Gold. In Black/Gold, the frame is black and gold. It is the safest choice if you only want one pair, and it never looks out of place.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

Shape and style

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. Metal lets the frame stay slim and light while keeping its shape.

If you want a frame you can put on in the morning and forget about, the CAP12 is a strong choice.

How to wear it

For work, pair it with a crisp shirt or blazer. At the weekend it looks just as good with a T-shirt and jeans.

Size and fit

The 54mm lenses put it at the upper end of medium.

The easiest way to check is against glasses you already love. Most frames show their size inside the arm; if yours are close to these, you are in safe territory.

Lens options for the CAP12

Pick the lenses that match your prescription:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. An anti-reflective, scratch-resistant coating is a sensible extra for everyday wear.

What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

Your CAP12 is glazed in our UK-based lab. Once you have chosen your lenses and entered your prescription, we cut and fit the lenses and check the finished glasses before they go out.

Keep them looking new

Use lens spray and a soft cloth, fold the arms before putting your glasses down, and store them in a hard case. Our guide to looking after your lenses covers the rest.

A second pair?

Plenty of people keep more than one pair of glasses: one for work, one for home, or a spare in the car. A second pair also means you are never stuck if your main glasses are being repaired. This frame is an easy choice for either role.

Can I use the CAP12 as computer glasses?

Yes. Single vision lenses set to your screen distance, or varifocals if you also need distance vision, both work well for desk work.

Where are my lenses made?

In our UK optical lab. They are cut to your prescription, fitted into your frame and checked before they are sent out.
