Ferucci 480 Prescription Glasses

Cat-eye frames manage to look glamorous and practical at the same time. The Ferucci 480 is a women’s full-rim plastic cat-eye frame, sized 54-15-135, in Grey or Purple. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Ferucci collection.

Choosing your Ferucci 480 colour

Grey. The Grey version is patterned grey. It is a quiet, professional finish that works with navy, charcoal and white.

Purple. The Purple version is patterned purple. It adds a confident touch of colour and suits fair and cool skin tones.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

About the Ferucci 480 design

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. The patterned finish means no two angles look quite the same.

The plastic frame is light on the nose and comfortable for all-day wear.

If you want a frame you can put on in the morning and forget about, the Ferucci 480 is a strong choice.

How to wear it

For work, pair it with a crisp shirt or blazer. At the weekend it looks just as good with a T-shirt and jeans.

How it fits

The 54mm lenses put it at the upper end of medium. The 15mm bridge is narrow, so it sits securely on a slimmer nose. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 123mm.

To check the fit, look at the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already own. If they are within two or three millimetres, this frame should feel similar.

Lens options for the Ferucci 480

Pick the lenses that match your prescription:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

At 41mm, the lens depth is deeper than most frames in our range, so varifocal lenses have lots of room. If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

Looking after them
