Joia 2587 Prescription Glasses

Upswept corners have a way of lifting the whole face. The Joia 2587 is a women’s full-rim plastic cat-eye frame, sized 52-17-140, in Black or Havana. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It is part of our Joia range.

Black or Havana?

Black. Black is a deep, solid black. Black suits every hair colour and frames the face with confidence.

Havana. The Havana version is havana tortoiseshell. It is a classic that looks relaxed and a little bit vintage.

About the Joia 2587 design

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. The plastic frame is light on the nose and comfortable for all-day wear.

If you want a frame you can put on in the morning and forget about, the Joia 2587 is a strong choice.

Wearing it every day

For work, pair it with a crisp shirt or blazer. At the weekend it looks just as good with a T-shirt and jeans.

How it fits

The 52mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces. The 17mm bridge is average. The 140mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 121mm.

To check the fit, look at the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already own. If they are within two or three millimetres, this frame should feel similar.

Lens options for the Joia 2587

Your optician’s prescription will usually tell you which of these you need:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

The 40mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses plenty of room. If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

How your glasses are made

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Joia 2587 and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

A little care goes a long way

Can I get varifocal lenses in the Joia 2587?

Yes. The 40mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses enough height for all three vision zones.

Can I use the Joia 2587 as computer glasses?

Yes. Single vision lenses set to your screen distance, or varifocals if you also need distance vision, both work well for desk work.

What size is it?

It is size 52-17-140: 52mm lens width, 17mm bridge and 140mm arms, a medium fit.

What is havana or tortoiseshell?

A mottled pattern of browns and ambers, a classic eyewear finish.

Do you make the lenses yourselves?

Yes. Every pair is made to order in our UK optical lab, where your lenses are cut to your prescription and fitted into your frame.
