Beeton Prescription Glasses

If you want a frame with a bit of attitude, start with a cat-eye. The Beeton is a women’s full-rim cat-eye frame, sized 53-16-135, in Brown, Grey or Pink. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Walter & Herbert collection.

Which colour is you?

Brown. The Brown version is brown-rose that fades to clear. It flatters warm and olive skin and works with almost any outfit.

Grey. The Grey version is grey that fades to clear. It is a great match for cooler skin tones and a crisp, tidy look.

Pink. The Pink version is pink that fades to clear. It brightens the face and has a fresh, youthful feel.

About the Beeton design

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. The colour fades from darker at the top to lighter at the bottom, which gives the frame depth and keeps it from looking heavy.

If you want a frame you can put on in the morning and forget about, the Beeton is a strong choice.

Wearing it every day

For work, pair it with a crisp shirt or blazer. At the weekend it looks just as good with a T-shirt and jeans.

How it fits

At 53mm per lens, it sits in the medium range, the most common adult fit. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 122mm.

The easiest way to check is against glasses you already love. Most frames show their size inside the arm; if yours are close to these, you are in safe territory.

Lens options for the Beeton

Pick the lenses that match your prescription:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

Want lighter lenses? A high-index lens is thinner than standard plastic. Pair it with an anti-reflective coating for less glare when you drive after dark.

Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Beeton and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Looking after them

Rinse off any grit before you wipe, dry the lenses with a clean microfibre cloth, and take your glasses off with both hands so the arms stay aligned. See our lens care guide for more.

What size is it?

It is size 53-16-135: 53mm lens width, 16mm bridge and 135mm arms, a medium fit.

Is the Beeton comfortable for all-day wear?

Yes. It is a lightweight frame, and a thinner lens for a stronger prescription keeps the weight down even further.

Will it suit a narrow nose?

Yes. The 16mm bridge is designed for slimmer noses.

What does the colour fade look like?

The colour is darker at the top of the frame and becomes lighter towards the bottom.

Who glazes my lenses?

Our own optical lab in the UK. Your lenses are made to your prescription and fitted into the frame before your glasses are sent to you.
