Ascari Eyewear 035 Prescription Glasses

A cat-eye is one of the most flattering shapes you can wear. The Ascari Eyewear 035 is a unisex full-rim metal cat-eye frame, sized 53-16-135, in Blue Mottle, Brown Mottle or Grey Mottle. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It is part of our Ascari Eyewear Collection.

3 colours to choose from

Blue Mottle. In Blue Mottle, the frame is mottled blue. It warms up the face and sits nicely alongside camel, olive and cream.

Brown Mottle. The Brown Mottle version is mottled brown. It is softer than black and suits brown, auburn and red hair.

Grey Mottle. In Grey Mottle, the frame is mottled grey. It is cool, modern and understated, and it suits grey or silver hair especially well.

Design details

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. Slim metal arms keep the frame light and add a polished touch.

The mottled pattern has more depth than a flat colour, so the frame looks rich up close. Metal lets the frame stay slim and light while keeping its shape.

Frame size and fit

At 53mm per lens, it sits in the medium range, the most common adult fit. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 122mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Ascari Eyewear 035

Pick the lenses that match your prescription:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

The 36mm lens depth works with single vision, bifocal and many varifocal lenses. If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Ascari Eyewear 035 and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Keep them looking new

Yes. The 36mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses enough height for all three vision zones.

Can I wear the Ascari Eyewear 035 for driving?

Yes. Single vision or varifocal lenses work well for driving, and an anti-reflective coating helps cut glare from headlights at night.
