The Ascari Eyewear 060 is a unisex full-rim rectangular frame, sized 55-17-145, in Black to Clear, Blue to Clear or Brown to Clear. Which colour is you?

Black to Clear. In Black to Clear, the frame is black that fades to clear. It defines the eyes and goes with every outfit you own.

Blue to Clear. The Blue to Clear version is blue that fades to clear. It is a fresh, modern choice that suits almost any skin tone.

With 55mm lenses, this is a larger frame that suits wider faces. The 17mm bridge is average. The 145mm arms are on the longer side, which suits larger heads. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 127mm.

Your optician’s prescription will usually tell you which of these you need:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

The 40mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses plenty of room. Want lighter lenses? A high-index lens is thinner than standard plastic. What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

Looking after them
