Calicoll Prescription Glasses

Upswept corners have a way of lifting the whole face. The Calicoll is a women’s full-rim plastic cat-eye frame in Yellow Tort, Grey Marble or Teal/Purple. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Infusion range.

Which colour is you?

Yellow Tort. The Yellow Tort version is yellow tortoiseshell. It warms up the face and sits nicely alongside camel, olive and cream.

Grey Marble. Grey Marble is easy to wear. It is cool, modern and understated, and it suits grey or silver hair especially well.

Teal/Purple. The Teal/Purple version is teal and purple. It brings out brown, hazel and green eyes.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

The details

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. A patterned front adds personality while still being easy to wear.

The plastic frame is light on the nose and comfortable for all-day wear.

Whether it is your main pair or a spare, the Calicoll is easy to live with.

How to wear it

Pair it with simple gold or silver earrings and let the frame do the rest. If you wear your hair up, a frame like this can act as your main accessory.

Frame size and fit

At 52mm per lens, it sits in the medium range, the most common adult fit.

The easiest way to check is against glasses you already love. Most frames show their size inside the arm; if yours are close to these, you are in safe territory.

Lens options for the Calicoll

Your optician’s prescription will usually tell you which of these you need:

• Varifocals if you want to see near and far without swapping glasses.
• Single vision for one task done well, such as driving, reading or screen work.
• Bifocals if you prefer a clearly defined reading area.
• Ready readers for straightforward close-up help.

With a stronger prescription, a thinner high-index lens keeps the edges slim, and an anti-reflective coating cuts reflections from screens and street lights.

Ordering online is simple

You need a valid prescription from your optician and your pupillary distance (PD), the distance between your pupils. Many opticians include your PD on the prescription; if yours does not, just ask for it. Choose your colour, pick your lens type, enter your details and add any lens upgrades. If you are unsure about size, compare the measurements above with a pair you already wear.

Made for you in our UK lab

Your Calicoll is glazed in our UK-based lab. Once you have chosen your lenses and entered your prescription, we cut and fit the lenses and check the finished glasses before they go out.

Looking after them

Rinse off any grit before you wipe, dry the lenses with a clean microfibre cloth, and take your glasses off with both hands so the arms stay aligned. See our lens care guide for more.

What is havana or tortoiseshell?

A mottled pattern of browns and ambers, a classic eyewear finish.

Can I use the Calicoll as computer glasses?

Yes. Single vision lenses set to your screen distance, or varifocals if you also need distance vision, both work well for desk work.

Who glazes my lenses?

Our own optical lab in the UK. Your lenses are made to your prescription and fitted into the frame before your glasses are sent to you.
