Cameo Elaine Prescription Glasses

A softly squared frame is one of the most versatile shapes around. The Cameo Elaine is a women’s full-rim metal soft square frame, sized 50-17-130, in Blue, Mauve or Rose. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Cameo collection.

Which colour is you?

Blue. Blue is a clear, easy-to-wear blue. It reads as smart and dark from a distance, with a little more personality up close.

Mauve. Mauve is a dusky pinkish purple. It is softer than it sounds and looks lovely with grey or silver hair.

Rose. Rose is a soft dusty pink. It is soft and pretty, and it suits fair and cool skin tones.

The details

The softened corners suit round, oval and heart-shaped faces, adding a little shape without looking severe. Metal lets the frame stay slim and light while keeping its shape.

For work, pair it with a crisp shirt or blazer. At the weekend it looks just as good with a T-shirt and jeans.

Frame size and fit

At 50mm per lens, it is on the smaller side, which is ideal if most frames feel too wide. The 17mm bridge is average. The 130mm arms are a little shorter than standard. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 117mm.

To check the fit, look at the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already own. If they are within two or three millimetres, this frame should feel similar.

Lens options for the Cameo Elaine

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

With a stronger prescription, a thinner high-index lens keeps the edges slim, and an anti-reflective coating cuts reflections from screens and street lights.

Ordering online is simple

You need a valid prescription from your optician and your pupillary distance (PD), the distance between your pupils. Many opticians include your PD on the prescription; if yours does not, just ask for it. Choose your colour, pick your lens type, enter your details and add any lens upgrades. If you are unsure about size, compare the measurements above with a pair you already wear.

How your glasses are made

Pick your colour and lenses, add your prescription and PD, and our UK lab cuts your lenses and fits them into your Cameo Elaine. Every pair is checked before it leaves us.

Looking after them
