Cameo Jim Prescription Glasses

Rectangular glasses add a little structure to the face without any fuss. The Cameo Jim is a men’s full-rim rectangular frame, sized 53-17-140, in Black, Blue or Brown. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Cameo range.

Which colour is you?

Black. Black is a deep, solid black. It is the safest choice if you only want one pair, and it never looks out of place.

Blue. Blue is a clear, easy-to-wear blue. It is a fresh alternative to black that still looks professional.

Brown. Brown is a warm, earthy brown. It flatters warm and olive skin and works with almost any outfit.

Still torn? Think about what you wear on an ordinary weekday, not on a night out. That is the colour you will be happiest with.

Short hair and a clean shave make the frame shape stand out; with longer hair or a beard it reads as more relaxed.

How it fits

At 53mm per lens, it sits in the medium range, the most common adult fit. The 17mm bridge is average. The 140mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 123mm.

The easiest way to check is against glasses you already love. Most frames show their size inside the arm; if yours are close to these, you are in safe territory.

Lens options for the Cameo Jim

Your optician’s prescription will usually tell you which of these you need:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

With a stronger prescription, a thinner high-index lens keeps the edges slim, and an anti-reflective coating cuts reflections from screens and street lights.

Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

Keep them looking new
