Cameo Karen Prescription Glasses

Soft corners take the edge off a square shape and make it easy to wear every day. The Cameo Karen is a women’s full-rim soft square frame, sized 51-16-130, in Purple or Rose. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Cameo range.

Purple or Rose?

Purple. The Purple version is purple and amber. It adds a confident touch of colour and suits fair and cool skin tones.

Rose. The Rose version is pink tortoiseshell. It is a gentle way to wear colour every day.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

About the Cameo Karen design

The softened corners suit round, oval and heart-shaped faces, adding a little shape without looking severe.

Whether it is your main pair or a spare, the Cameo Karen is easy to live with.

Wearing it every day

Match the frame colour to something you wear often, such as a favourite scarf or bag, for a pulled-together look. Neutral make-up keeps the focus on your eyes.

Frame size and fit

The 51mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 130mm arms are a little shorter than standard. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 118mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Cameo Karen

Your optician’s prescription will usually tell you which of these you need:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

With a stronger prescription, a thinner high-index lens keeps the edges slim, and an anti-reflective coating cuts reflections from screens and street lights.

Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

How your glasses are made

Pick your colour and lenses, add your prescription and PD, and our UK lab cuts your lenses and fits them into your Cameo Karen. Every pair is checked before it leaves us.

Looking after them

Rinse off any grit before you wipe, dry the lenses with a clean microfibre cloth, and take your glasses off with both hands so the arms stay aligned. See our lens care guide for more.

Yes. It is a lightweight frame, and a thinner lens for a stronger prescription keeps the weight down even further.

Who glazes my lenses?

Our own optical lab in the UK. Your lenses are made to your prescription and fitted into the frame before your glasses are sent to you.
