Churchill Prescription Glasses

Round glasses have a quiet, clever charm that never really goes out of style. The Churchill is a unisex full-rim round frame in Black, Crystal, Light Tort, Olive Dusk, Teal Blue or Tort. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It is part of our Walter & Herbert range.

6 colours to choose from

Black. Black is a deep, solid black. It looks sharp at work and just as good with jeans at the weekend.

Crystal. The Crystal version is crystal clear. It blends in rather than stands out, which many people find easy to wear every day.

Light Tort. The Light Tort version is light tortoiseshell. It flatters warm and olive skin and works with almost any outfit.

Olive Dusk. Olive Dusk keeps things simple. It is unusual without being loud, and it looks fantastic with red, auburn or dark hair.

Teal Blue. In Teal Blue, the frame is translucent teal-blue. It reads as smart and dark from a distance, with a little more personality up close.

Tort. The Tort version is light tortoiseshell. It warms up the face and sits nicely alongside camel, olive and cream.

Frame size and fit

At 49mm per lens, it is on the smaller side, which is ideal if most frames feel too wide.

The easiest way to check is against glasses you already love. Most frames show their size inside the arm; if yours are close to these, you are in safe territory.

Lens options for the Churchill

Pick the lenses that match your prescription:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. An anti-reflective, scratch-resistant coating is a sensible extra for everyday wear.

Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

How your glasses are made

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Churchill and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Looking after them

Rinse off any grit before you wipe, dry the lenses with a clean microfibre cloth, and take your glasses off with both hands so the arms stay aligned. See our lens care guide for more.
