Rectangular frames are the dependable all-rounders of eyewear. The Ferucci 2046 is a men’s full-rim metal rectangular frame, sized 55-16-145, in Gold or Gunmetal. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Ferucci range.

Gold or Gunmetal?

Gold. Gold is a warm, soft gold. It brings warmth to the face and looks lovely with gold jewellery or a watch.

Gunmetal. Gunmetal is a dark, smoky grey metal. It is a great match for cooler skin tones and a crisp, tidy look.

How it fits

With 55mm lenses, this is a larger frame that suits wider faces. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 145mm arms are on the longer side, which suits larger heads. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 126mm.

To check the fit, look at the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already own. If they are within two or three millimetres, this frame should feel similar.

Lens options for the Ferucci 2046

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

At 43mm, the lens depth is deeper than most frames in our range, so varifocal lenses have lots of room. If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

How your glasses are made

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Ferucci 2046 and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Looking after them

Can I get varifocal lenses in the Ferucci 2046?

Yes. The 43mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses enough height for all three vision zones.

Is the Ferucci 2046 comfortable for all-day wear?

Yes. It is a lightweight frame, and a thinner lens for a stronger prescription keeps the weight down even further.

Is it a large frame?
