If you want a frame with a bit of attitude, start with a cat-eye. The SALAMANGO is a women’s full-rim plastic cat-eye frame in Navy, Black/Red or Purple. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It is part of our Infusion collection.

3 colours to choose from

Navy. The Navy version is blue. It is a fresh alternative to black that still looks professional.

Black/Red. In Black/Red, the frame is black and red. Black suits every hair colour and frames the face with confidence.

Purple. In Purple, the frame is patterned blue and purple. It adds a confident touch of colour and suits fair and cool skin tones.

About the SALAMANGO design

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. The patterned finish means no two angles look quite the same.

Lens options for the SALAMANGO

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Varifocals if you want to see near and far without swapping glasses.
• Single vision for one task done well, such as driving, reading or screen work.
• Bifocals if you prefer a clearly defined reading area.
• Ready readers for straightforward close-up help.

If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. An anti-reflective, scratch-resistant coating is a sensible extra for everyday wear.

What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

How your glasses are made

Pick your colour and lenses, add your prescription and PD, and our UK lab cuts your lenses and fits them into your SALAMANGO. Every pair is checked before it leaves us.

A little care goes a long way

Rinse off any grit before you wipe, dry the lenses with a clean microfibre cloth, and take your glasses off with both hands so the arms stay aligned. See our lens care guide for more.

A second pair?

Plenty of people keep more than one pair of glasses: one for work, one for home, or a spare in the car. A second pair also means you are never stuck if your main glasses are being repaired. This frame is an easy choice for either role.

Can I use the SALAMANGO as computer glasses?

Yes. Single vision lenses set to your screen distance, or varifocals if you also need distance vision, both work well for desk work.

Do you make the lenses yourselves?

Yes. Every pair is made to order in our UK optical lab, where your lenses are cut to your prescription and fitted into your frame.
