Choosing your Freya Cara colour

Aqua. Aqua is a fresh blue-green. It brings a cool, calm touch of colour that suits most skin tones.

About the Freya Cara design

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. Because the colour is see-through, the frame has a light, glowing look.

How it fits

The 52mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces. The 14mm bridge is narrow, so it sits securely on a slimmer nose. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 118mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Freya Cara

Pick the lenses that match your prescription:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

The 36mm lens depth works with single vision, bifocal and many varifocal lenses. If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. An anti-reflective, scratch-resistant coating is a sensible extra for everyday wear.

What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Freya Cara and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Looking after them

Use lens spray and a soft cloth, fold the arms before putting your glasses down, and store them in a hard case. Our guide to looking after your lenses covers the rest.

Can I get varifocal lenses in the Freya Cara?

Yes. The 36mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses enough height for all three vision zones.

Is the Freya Cara comfortable for all-day wear?

Yes. It is a lightweight frame, and a thinner lens for a stronger prescription keeps the weight down even further.

What size is it?

It is size 52-14-135: 52mm lens width, 14mm bridge and 135mm arms, a medium fit.

Will it suit a narrow nose?

Yes. The 14mm bridge is designed for slimmer noses.

Where are my lenses made?

In our UK optical lab. They are cut to your prescription, fitted into your frame and checked before they are sent out.
