Freya Emily Prescription Glasses

A softly squared frame is one of the most versatile shapes around. The Freya Emily is a unisex full-rim soft square frame, sized 52-16-140, in Lillac, Red or Yellow. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Freya by Dunelm Collection.

3 colours to choose from

Lillac. Lillac is a soft, pale purple. It adds a confident touch of colour and suits fair and cool skin tones.

Red. The Red version is striped red multicolour. It adds warmth without being too bright, and it suits most skin tones.

Yellow. In Yellow, the frame is striped yellow-brown multicolour. It is a fun choice if you like your glasses to stand out.

Shape and style

The softened corners suit round, oval and heart-shaped faces, adding a little shape without looking severe. The striped finish adds texture that changes as the light catches it.

How it fits

At 52mm per lens, it sits in the medium range, the most common adult fit. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 140mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 120mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Freya Emily

Your optician’s prescription will usually tell you which of these you need:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

The 39mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses plenty of room. With a stronger prescription, a thinner high-index lens keeps the edges slim, and an anti-reflective coating cuts reflections from screens and street lights.

Ordering online is simple

You need a valid prescription from your optician and your pupillary distance (PD), the distance between your pupils. Many opticians include your PD on the prescription; if yours does not, just ask for it. Choose your colour, pick your lens type, enter your details and add any lens upgrades. If you are unsure about size, compare the measurements above with a pair you already wear.

From our lab to you

Your Freya Emily is glazed in our UK-based lab. Once you have chosen your lenses and entered your prescription, we cut and fit the lenses and check the finished glasses before they go out.

A little care goes a long way

Clean your lenses with a microfibre cloth rather than your jumper, keep them in their case when they are in your bag, and do not leave them on a sunny car dashboard. Our lens care guide has more tips.

Can I get varifocal lenses in the Freya Emily?

Yes. The 39mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses enough height for all three vision zones.

Can I wear the Freya Emily for driving?

Yes. Single vision or varifocal lenses work well for driving, and an anti-reflective coating helps cut glare from headlights at night.

What size is it?

It is size 52-16-140: 52mm lens width, 16mm bridge and 140mm arms, a medium fit.

Will it suit a narrow nose?

Yes. The 16mm bridge is designed for slimmer noses.

Who glazes my lenses?
