The Ascari Eyewear 074 is a unisex full-rim metal browline frame, sized 54-18-142, in Brown, Lilac or Pink. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. Brown. Brown is a warm, earthy brown. It is softer than black and suits brown, auburn and red hair.

Lilac. Lilac is a soft, pale purple. It brings a little personality without overpowering your features.

About the Ascari Eyewear 074 design

The stronger top line suits round, oval and heart-shaped faces, and it can make you look more awake. The frame runs along the top of the lenses only, so the lower edge is open and your view stays clear.

The arms carry a decorative pattern that adds a bit of jewellery to the frame. The patterned finish means no two angles look quite the same. The slim metal construction keeps it light and neat, and it is easy for an optician to adjust.

How it fits

The 54mm lenses put it at the upper end of medium. The 18mm bridge is average. The 142mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 126mm.

To check the fit, look at the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already own. If they are within two or three millimetres, this frame should feel similar.

Lens options for the Ascari Eyewear 074

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

The 36mm lens depth works with single vision, bifocal and many varifocal lenses. Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

Your Ascari Eyewear 074 is glazed in our UK-based lab. Once you have chosen your lenses and entered your prescription, we cut and fit the lenses and check the finished glasses before they go out.

A little care goes a long way

Clean your lenses with a microfibre cloth rather than your jumper, keep them in their case when they are in your bag, and do not leave them on a sunny car dashboard. Our lens care guide has more tips.

What does semi-rimless mean?

The frame runs along the top of the lenses only. The lower edge is held by a fine line, so the bottom of the lens is open.
