Ascari Eyewear 073 Prescription Glasses

A browline frame always looks a little bit clever. The Ascari Eyewear 073 is a unisex browline frame, sized 57-17-143, in Black, Brown or Navy. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Ascari Eyewear Collection.

Which colour is you?

Black. Black is a deep, solid black. It is the safest choice if you only want one pair, and it never looks out of place.

Brown. Brown is a warm, earthy brown. It is softer than black and suits brown, auburn and red hair.

Navy. Navy is a deep, dark blue. It is a fresh alternative to black that still looks professional.

Still torn? Think about what you wear on an ordinary weekday, not on a night out. That is the colour you will be happiest with.

Why you will like it

The stronger top line suits round, oval and heart-shaped faces, and it can make you look more awake. The frame runs along the top of the lenses only, so the lower edge is open and your view stays clear.

Frame size and fit

With 57mm lenses, this is a larger frame that suits wider faces. The 17mm bridge is average. The 143mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 131mm.

The easiest way to check is against glasses you already love. Most frames show their size inside the arm; if yours are close to these, you are in safe territory.

The 37mm lens depth works with single vision, bifocal and many varifocal lenses. What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

From our lab to you

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Ascari Eyewear 073 and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Keep them looking new

Clean your lenses with a microfibre cloth rather than your jumper, keep them in their case when they are in your bag, and do not leave them on a sunny car dashboard. Our lens care guide has more tips.

Can I get varifocal lenses in the Ascari Eyewear 073?

Yes. The 37mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses enough height for all three vision zones.

Can I use the Ascari Eyewear 073 as computer glasses?

Yes. Single vision lenses set to your screen distance, or varifocals if you also need distance vision, both work well for desk work.

Is it a large frame?

Yes. With 57mm lenses it suits wider faces.

What does semi-rimless mean?

The frame runs along the top of the lenses only. The lower edge is held by a fine line, so the bottom of the lens is open.

Who glazes my lenses?

Our own optical lab in the UK. Your lenses are made to your prescription and fitted into the frame before your glasses are sent to you.
