Cameo Freya Prescription Glasses

Upswept corners have a way of lifting the whole face. The Cameo Freya is a women’s full-rim cat-eye frame, sized 53-16-140, in Grey, Purple or Teal. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It is part of our Cameo collection.

Choosing your Cameo Freya colour

Grey. Grey is a soft, neutral grey. It is a quiet, professional finish that works with navy, charcoal and white.

Purple. Purple is a rich purple. It works beautifully with navy, grey and silver jewellery.

Teal. Teal is a blue-green teal. It brings out brown, hazel and green eyes.

Still torn? Think about what you wear on an ordinary weekday, not on a night out. That is the colour you will be happiest with.

Design details

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. Slim metal arms keep the frame light and add a polished touch.

Styling tips

Match the frame colour to something you wear often, such as a favourite scarf or bag, for a pulled-together look. Neutral make-up keeps the focus on your eyes.

How it fits

The 53mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 140mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 122mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Cameo Freya

Pick the lenses that match your prescription:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. An anti-reflective, scratch-resistant coating is a sensible extra for everyday wear.

Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

How your glasses are made

Your Cameo Freya is glazed in our UK-based lab. Once you have chosen your lenses and entered your prescription, we cut and fit the lenses and check the finished glasses before they go out.

Looking after them

Use lens spray and a soft cloth, fold the arms before putting your glasses down, and store them in a hard case. Our guide to looking after your lenses covers the rest.

What size is it?

Can I wear the Cameo Freya for driving?

Yes. Single vision or varifocal lenses work well for driving, and an anti-reflective coating helps cut glare from headlights at night.

Will it suit a narrow nose?

Yes. The 16mm bridge is designed for slimmer noses.

Who glazes my lenses?

Our own optical lab in the UK. Your lenses are made to your prescription and fitted into the frame before your glasses are sent to you.
