Cameo Isla Prescription Glasses

A cat-eye is one of the most flattering shapes you can wear. The Cameo Isla is a women’s full-rim cat-eye frame, sized 50-16-135, in Dark Blue, Havana or Purple. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It is part of our Cameo collection.

Which colour is you?

Dark Blue. The Dark Blue version is navy. It is a fresh alternative to black that still looks professional.

Havana. In Havana, the frame is green tortoiseshell. It is softer than black and suits brown, auburn and red hair.

Purple. The Purple version is patterned purple. It is softer than it sounds and looks lovely with grey or silver hair.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

The details

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. A patterned front adds personality while still being easy to wear.

The Cameo Isla is a great everyday frame: smart enough for work and relaxed enough for the weekend.

Styling tips

Pair it with simple gold or silver earrings and let the frame do the rest. If you wear your hair up, a frame like this can act as your main accessory.

How it fits

At 50mm per lens, it is on the smaller side, which is ideal if most frames feel too wide. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 116mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Cameo Isla

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. An anti-reflective, scratch-resistant coating is a sensible extra for everyday wear.

What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

How your glasses are made

Your Cameo Isla is glazed in our UK-based lab. Once you have chosen your lenses and entered your prescription, we cut and fit the lenses and check the finished glasses before they go out.

Keep them looking new

Use lens spray and a soft cloth, fold the arms before putting your glasses down, and store them in a hard case. Our guide to looking after your lenses covers the rest.

Is it a small frame?

Yes. With 50mm lenses it suits smaller faces.

Can I wear the Cameo Isla for driving?

Yes. Single vision or varifocal lenses work well for driving, and an anti-reflective coating helps cut glare from headlights at night.

Will it suit a narrow nose?

Yes. The 16mm bridge is designed for slimmer noses.

What is havana or tortoiseshell?

A mottled pattern of browns and ambers, a classic eyewear finish.

Who glazes my lenses?

Our own optical lab in the UK. Your lenses are made to your prescription and fitted into the frame before your glasses are sent to you.
