Ferucci 1825 Prescription Glasses

If you like structure but not sharp angles, a soft square is the sweet spot. The Ferucci 1825 is a women’s full-rim metal soft square frame, sized 50-15-135, in Gold/Purple or Gold/Teal. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Ferucci range.

Why you will like it

The softened corners suit round, oval and heart-shaped faces, adding a little shape without looking severe. The slim metal construction keeps it light and neat, and it is easy for an optician to adjust.

How to wear it

For work, pair it with a crisp shirt or blazer. At the weekend it looks just as good with a T-shirt and jeans.

Frame size and fit

At 50mm per lens, it is on the smaller side, which is ideal if most frames feel too wide. The 15mm bridge is narrow, so it sits securely on a slimmer nose. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 115mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Ferucci 1825

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

The 38mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses plenty of room. Want lighter lenses? A high-index lens is thinner than standard plastic. Pair it with an anti-reflective coating for less glare when you drive after dark. Spend a lot of time on screens? This frame is also part of our blue light glasses range.

What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

How your glasses are made

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Ferucci 1825 and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Keep them looking new

Rinse off any grit before you wipe, dry the lenses with a clean microfibre cloth, and take your glasses off with both hands so the arms stay aligned. See our lens care guide for more.
