Ferucci 1827 Prescription Glasses

Rectangular glasses add a little structure to the face without any fuss. The Ferucci 1827 is a women’s semi-rimless metal rectangular frame, sized 49-16-130, in Gold or Lillac. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Ferucci collection.

Gold or Lillac?

Gold. Gold is a warm, soft gold. It suits warm and olive skin tones beautifully.

Lillac. Lillac is a soft, pale purple. It brings a little personality without overpowering your features.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

Shape and style

Rectangular lenses suit round and oval faces, adding a bit of definition. The frame runs along the top of the lenses only, so the lower edge is open and your view stays clear.

The arms carry a decorative pattern that adds a bit of jewellery to the frame. Tortoiseshell arms add warmth and a classic finishing touch. Metal lets the frame stay slim and light while keeping its shape.

How to wear it

Frame size and fit

At 49mm per lens, it is on the smaller side, which is ideal if most frames feel too wide. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 130mm arms are a little shorter than standard. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 114mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

The 37mm lens depth works with single vision, bifocal and many varifocal lenses. If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. You need a valid prescription from your optician and your pupillary distance (PD), the distance between your pupils. Many opticians include your PD on the prescription; if yours does not, just ask for it. Choose your colour, pick your lens type, enter your details and add any lens upgrades.
