Ferucci 196 Prescription Glasses

You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Ferucci range.

Choosing your Ferucci 196 colour

Dark Blue. The Dark Blue version is dark blue translucent. It reads as smart and dark from a distance, with a little more personality up close.

Dark Grey. In Dark Grey, the frame is dark grey translucent. It is a quiet, professional finish that works with navy, charcoal and white.

The details

Square lenses add structure to round and oval faces and make features look more defined. Because the colour is see-through, the frame has a light, glowing look.

The plastic frame is light on the nose and comfortable for all-day wear.

Wearing it every day

It looks sharp with a collared shirt and works just as well with a T-shirt. If you have a beard, a slightly bolder frame balances the face nicely.

How it fits

The 54mm lenses put it at the upper end of medium. The 18mm bridge is average. The 145mm arms are on the longer side, which suits larger heads. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 126mm.

The easiest way to check is against glasses you already love. Most frames show their size inside the arm; if yours are close to these, you are in safe territory.

Lens options for the Ferucci 196

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

The 39mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses plenty of room. Want lighter lenses? A high-index lens is thinner than standard plastic. Pair it with an anti-reflective coating for less glare when you drive after dark. Spend a lot of time on screens? This frame is also part of our blue light glasses range.

Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

From our lab to you

Your Ferucci 196 is glazed in our UK-based lab. Once you have chosen your lenses and entered your prescription, we cut and fit the lenses and check the finished glasses before they go out.

Keep them looking new

Clean your lenses with a microfibre cloth rather than your jumper, keep them in their case when they are in your bag, and do not leave them on a sunny car dashboard. Our lens care guide has more tips.

Can I get varifocal lenses in the Ferucci 196?

Yes. The 39mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses enough height for all three vision zones.

Can I use the Ferucci 196 as computer glasses?

Yes. Single vision lenses set to your screen distance, or varifocals if you also need distance vision, both work well for desk work.

Where are my lenses made?

In our UK optical lab. They are cut to your prescription, fitted into your frame and checked before they are sent out.
