Ferucci 197 Prescription Glasses

A clean rectangular frame works at the office, at home and everywhere in between. The Ferucci 197 is a men’s full-rim plastic rectangular frame, sized 58-17-150, in Grey or Navy. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Ferucci collection.

Grey or Navy?

Grey. In Grey, the frame is translucent grey. It is a quiet, professional finish that works with navy, charcoal and white.

Navy. The Navy version is translucent blue. It brings a cool, calm touch of colour that suits most skin tones.

Shape and style

Rectangular lenses suit round and oval faces, adding a bit of definition. The translucent finish lets light through, so the frame looks lighter and softer than a solid colour.

The plastic frame is light on the nose and comfortable for all-day wear.

The Ferucci 197 is a great everyday frame: smart enough for work and relaxed enough for the weekend.

How to wear it

Choose the darker colour for the office and the lighter one for a more relaxed look. Either way, it is an easy frame to wear every day.

Frame size and fit

With 58mm lenses, this is a larger frame that suits wider faces. The 17mm bridge is average. The 150mm arms are on the longer side, which suits larger heads. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 133mm.

To check the fit, look at the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already own. If they are within two or three millimetres, this frame should feel similar.

Lens options for the Ferucci 197

Your optician’s prescription will usually tell you which of these you need:

• Varifocals if you want to see near and far without swapping glasses.
• Single vision for one task done well, such as driving, reading or screen work.
• Bifocals if you prefer a clearly defined reading area.
• Ready readers for straightforward close-up help.

The 40mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses plenty of room. If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

From our lab to you

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Ferucci 197 and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Looking after them

Clean your lenses with a microfibre cloth rather than your jumper, keep them in their case when they are in your bag, and do not leave them on a sunny car dashboard. Our lens care guide has more tips.
