If you want glasses that look smart and get out of the way, a rectangle is hard to beat. The Ferucci 2006 is a men’s full-rim metal rectangular frame, sized 56-18-145, in Bronze or Silver. Bronze or Silver?

Bronze. Bronze is a warm, brownish metallic finish. It is a warm, elegant choice that pairs nicely with earthy colours.

The details

It looks sharp with a collared shirt and works just as well with a T-shirt. If you have a beard, a slightly bolder frame balances the face nicely.

How it fits

With 56mm lenses, this is a larger frame that suits wider faces. The 18mm bridge is average. The 145mm arms are on the longer side, which suits larger heads. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 130mm.

To check the fit, look at the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already own. If they are within two or three millimetres, this frame should feel similar.

Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.

A little care goes a long way
