Gunmetal or Navy: which one is you?

Gunmetal. Gunmetal is a dark, smoky grey metal. It is a quiet, professional finish that works with navy, charcoal and white.

Navy. Navy is a deep, dark blue. It reads as smart and dark from a distance, with a little more personality up close.

Design details

Rectangular lenses suit round and oval faces, adding a bit of definition. The slim metal construction keeps it light and neat, and it is easy for an optician to adjust.

The Ferucci 2033 is a great everyday frame: smart enough for work and relaxed enough for the weekend.

Styling tips

It looks sharp with a collared shirt and works just as well with a T-shirt. If you have a beard, a slightly bolder frame balances the face nicely.

Size and fit

The 51mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 118mm.

The easiest way to check is against glasses you already love. Most frames show their size inside the arm; if yours are close to these, you are in safe territory.

Lens options for the Ferucci 2033

Your optician’s prescription will usually tell you which of these you need:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

The 34mm lens depth is on the slim side, so single vision or bifocal lenses usually work best. Want lighter lenses? A high-index lens is thinner than standard plastic. Ordering online is simple

You need a valid prescription from your optician and your pupillary distance (PD), the distance between your pupils. Many opticians include your PD on the prescription; if yours does not, just ask for it. Choose your colour, pick your lens type, enter your details and add any lens upgrades. If you are unsure about size, compare the measurements above with a pair you already wear.

How your glasses are made

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Ferucci 2033 and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Looking after them

Rinse off any grit before you wipe, dry the lenses with a clean microfibre cloth, and take your glasses off with both hands so the arms stay aligned. See our lens care guide for more.
