Ferucci 2053 Prescription Glasses

A clean rectangular frame works at the office, at home and everywhere in between. The Ferucci 2053 is a men’s full-rim metal rectangular frame, sized 52-17-140, in Black or Navy. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It is part of our Ferucci collection.

Choosing your Ferucci 2053 colour

Black. Black is a deep, solid black. It defines the eyes and goes with every outfit you own.

Navy. Navy is a deep, dark blue. It brings a cool, calm touch of colour that suits most skin tones.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

About the Ferucci 2053 design

Rectangular lenses suit round and oval faces, adding a bit of definition. The slim metal construction keeps it light and neat, and it is easy for an optician to adjust.

How it fits

The 52mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces. The 17mm bridge is average. The 140mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 121mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Ferucci 2053

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

The 34mm lens depth is on the slim side, so single vision or bifocal lenses usually work best. Want lighter lenses? A high-index lens is thinner than standard plastic. Pair it with an anti-reflective coating for less glare when you drive after dark. Spend a lot of time on screens? This frame is also part of our blue light glasses range.

What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

How your glasses are made

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Ferucci 2053 and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Keep them looking new

Clean your lenses with a microfibre cloth rather than your jumper, keep them in their case when they are in your bag, and do not leave them on a sunny car dashboard. Our lens care guide has more tips.
