Ferucci 492 Prescription Glasses

Cat-eye frames manage to look glamorous and practical at the same time. The Ferucci 492 is a women’s full-rim plastic cat-eye frame, sized 53-17-140, in Blue or Havana. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Ferucci range.

Blue or Havana?

Blue. In Blue, the frame is mottled blue. It reads as smart and dark from a distance, with a little more personality up close.

Havana. In Havana, the frame is havana tortoiseshell. It flatters warm and olive skin and works with almost any outfit.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

Design details

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. The mottled pattern has more depth than a flat colour, so the frame looks rich up close.

Lens options for the Ferucci 492

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

At 41mm, the lens depth is deeper than most frames in our range, so varifocal lenses have lots of room. Want lighter lenses? A high-index lens is thinner than standard plastic. You need a valid prescription from your optician and your pupillary distance (PD), the distance between your pupils. Many opticians include your PD on the prescription; if yours does not, just ask for it. Choose your colour, pick your lens type, enter your details and add any lens upgrades. How your glasses are made

Your Ferucci 492 is glazed in our UK-based lab. Once you have chosen your lenses and entered your prescription, we cut and fit the lenses and check the finished glasses before they go out.

Keep them looking new
