Joia 2563 Prescription Glasses

Cat-eye frames manage to look glamorous and practical at the same time. The Joia 2563 is a women’s full-rim plastic cat-eye frame, sized 52-16-135, in Brown or Purple. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Joia range.

Choosing your Joia 2563 colour

Brown. In Brown, the frame is brown tortoiseshell. It is a classic that looks relaxed and a little bit vintage.

Purple. In Purple, the frame is patterned purple. It adds a confident touch of colour and suits fair and cool skin tones.

About the Joia 2563 design

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. Take a look at the arms: the detailing there is what makes this frame special.

The patterned finish means no two angles look quite the same. The plastic frame is light on the nose and comfortable for all-day wear.

How to wear it

For work, pair it with a crisp shirt or blazer. At the weekend it looks just as good with a T-shirt and jeans.

Size and fit

At 52mm per lens, it sits in the medium range, the most common adult fit. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 120mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Joia 2563

Your optician’s prescription will usually tell you which of these you need:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

The 37mm lens depth works with single vision, bifocal and many varifocal lenses. If your prescription is high, a high-index lens keeps things thin. What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

Can I wear the Joia 2563 for driving?

Yes. Single vision or varifocal lenses work well for driving, and an anti-reflective coating helps cut glare from headlights at night.
