Visage Metal 4500 Prescription Glasses

If you want glasses that look smart and get out of the way, a rectangle is hard to beat. The Visage Metal 4500 is a women’s full-rim metal rectangular frame, sized 53-17-135, in Gold or Pink. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Visage range.

Choosing your Visage Metal 4500 colour

Gold. Gold is a warm, soft gold. It suits warm and olive skin tones beautifully.

Pink. Pink is a soft pink. It pairs nicely with neutrals, white and rose gold jewellery.

Design details

Rectangular lenses suit round and oval faces, adding a bit of definition. Metal lets the frame stay slim and light while keeping its shape.

How it fits

The 53mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces. The 17mm bridge is average. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 123mm.

To check the fit, look at the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already own. If they are within two or three millimetres, this frame should feel similar.

Lens options for the Visage Metal 4500

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Single vision: one prescription across the whole lens, for distance, reading or the computer.
• Varifocal: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, with no visible line.
• Bifocal: a separate reading segment in the lower part of the lens.
• Ready readers: simple magnification if you just need help with close work.

The 33mm lens depth is on the slim side, so single vision or bifocal lenses usually work best. With a stronger prescription, a thinner high-index lens keeps the edges slim, and an anti-reflective coating cuts reflections from screens and street lights. Spend a lot of time on screens? Before you order

Make sure your prescription is in date; most adults in the UK are advised to have an eye test every two years, and your optician will tell you if you need one sooner. You will also need your PD, which tells our lab where to centre the lenses. With those two things ready, ordering takes a few minutes: choose your colour, pick your lenses, enter your details and you are done.
