Almacron Prescription Glasses

Soft corners take the edge off a square shape and make it easy to wear every day. The Almacron is a women’s full-rim plastic soft square frame in Red Mix or Blue/White/Mix. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. You will find it in our Infusion range.

Red Mix or Blue/White/Mix?

Red Mix. In Red Mix, the frame is patterned red. It is rich and confident, and it looks stunning with dark hair.

Blue/White/Mix. Blue/White/Mix is a clear, easy-to-wear blue. It brings a cool, calm touch of colour that suits most skin tones.

Still torn? Think about what you wear on an ordinary weekday, not on a night out. That is the colour you will be happiest with.

Shape and style

The softened corners suit round, oval and heart-shaped faces, adding a little shape without looking severe. A patterned front adds personality while still being easy to wear.

The 51mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces.

To check the fit, look at the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already own. If they are within two or three millimetres, this frame should feel similar.

Lens options for the Almacron

Choose the lens type that suits how you use your glasses:

• Varifocals if you want to see near and far without swapping glasses.
• Single vision for one task done well, such as driving, reading or screen work.
• Bifocals if you prefer a clearly defined reading area.
• Ready readers for straightforward close-up help.

With a stronger prescription, a thinner high-index lens keeps the edges slim, and an anti-reflective coating cuts reflections from screens and street lights.

What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

From our lab to you

Your Almacron is glazed in our UK-based lab. Once you have chosen your lenses and entered your prescription, we cut and fit the lenses and check the finished glasses before they go out.

Looking after them

Clean your lenses with a microfibre cloth rather than your jumper, keep them in their case when they are in your bag, and do not leave them on a sunny car dashboard. Our lens care guide has more tips.

Yes. Single vision lenses set to your screen distance, or varifocals if you also need distance vision, both work well for desk work.

Where are my lenses made?

In our UK optical lab. They are cut to your prescription, fitted into your frame and checked before they are sent out.
