Blackwell Prescription Glasses

Cat-eye frames manage to look glamorous and practical at the same time. The Blackwell is a women’s full-rim cat-eye frame, sized 51-16-140, in Red, Teal or Tort. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Walter & Herbert range.

Which colour is you?

Red. Red is a confident red. It looks great with neutral outfits and a bold lip.

Teal. Teal is a blue-green teal. It brings out brown, hazel and green eyes.

Tort. The Tort version is tortoiseshell. It is a classic that looks relaxed and a little bit vintage.

The details

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. The fine metal arms keep the weight down and look neat from the side.

Size and fit

The 51mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 140mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 118mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

You need a valid prescription from your optician and your pupillary distance (PD), the distance between your pupils. Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Blackwell and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

Keep them looking new
