Freya Emma Prescription Glasses

Soft corners take the edge off a square shape and make it easy to wear every day. The Freya Emma is a unisex full-rim metal soft square frame, sized 51-15-130, in Black, Burgundy or Turquoise. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Freya by Dunelm Collection.

3 colours to choose from

Black. Black is a deep, solid black. It defines the eyes and goes with every outfit you own.

Burgundy. Burgundy is a deep wine red. It is a grown-up way to wear colour.

Turquoise. Turquoise is a bright blue-green. It brings out brown, hazel and green eyes.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

Shape and style

The softened corners suit round, oval and heart-shaped faces, adding a little shape without looking severe. The slim metal construction keeps it light and neat, and it is easy for an optician to adjust.

If you want a frame you can put on in the morning and forget about, the Freya Emma is a strong choice.

How to wear it

Keep the rest of your look simple and let the frame do the talking. It works just as well with workwear as it does with weekend clothes.

How it fits

The 51mm lenses make this a medium frame that suits most faces. The 15mm bridge is narrow, so it sits securely on a slimmer nose. The 130mm arms are a little shorter than standard. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 117mm.

Not sure about sizing? Compare these numbers with the ones on the inside arm of a pair that fits you well. A difference of two or three millimetres or less usually means a similar fit.

Lens options for the Freya Emma

Pick the lenses that match your prescription:

• Single vision: the same prescription from edge to edge.
• Bifocal: distance at the top and a reading segment at the bottom.
• Varifocal: a smooth change from distance to reading, with no line.
• Ready readers: a fixed magnification for books, phones and screens.

The 35mm lens depth works with single vision, bifocal and many varifocal lenses. With a stronger prescription, a thinner high-index lens keeps the edges slim, and an anti-reflective coating cuts reflections from screens and street lights.

Ordering online is simple

You need a valid prescription from your optician and your pupillary distance (PD), the distance between your pupils. Many opticians include your PD on the prescription; if yours does not, just ask for it. Choose your colour, pick your lens type, enter your details and add any lens upgrades. If you are unsure about size, compare the measurements above with a pair you already wear.

From our lab to you

Every pair is made to order in our own UK lab. Your lenses are cut to your prescription, fitted into your Freya Emma and checked by our technicians before they are sent out.

A little care goes a long way

Rinse off any grit before you wipe, dry the lenses with a clean microfibre cloth, and take your glasses off with both hands so the arms stay aligned. See our lens care guide for more.

Can I get varifocal lenses in the Freya Emma?

Yes. The 35mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses enough height for all three vision zones.

Can I wear the Freya Emma for driving?

Yes. Single vision or varifocal lenses work well for driving, and an anti-reflective coating helps cut glare from headlights at night.

What size is it?

It is size 51-15-130: 51mm lens width, 15mm bridge and 130mm arms, a medium fit.

Will it suit a narrow nose?

Yes. The 15mm bridge is designed for slimmer noses.

Where are my lenses made?

In our UK optical lab. They are cut to your prescription, fitted into your frame and checked before they are sent out.
