Freya Molly Prescription Glasses

Upswept corners have a way of lifting the whole face. The Freya Molly is a unisex full-rim metal cat-eye frame, sized 52-16-135, in Black, Red or Teal. You can order it with single vision, varifocal or bifocal lenses made to your prescription. It belongs to the Freya by Dunelm Collection.

Choosing your Freya Molly colour

Black. Black is a deep, solid black. Black suits every hair colour and frames the face with confidence.

Red. Red is a confident red. It looks great with neutral outfits and a bold lip.

Teal. Teal is a blue-green teal. It pairs well with neutrals, denim and earthy colours.

If you are stuck between two, choose the one closest to the colours you wear most. You can always add a second pair later.

The details

The upswept outer corners suit round, oval and square faces especially well, giving the face a gentle lift. Take a look at the arms: the detailing there is what makes this frame special.

The slim metal construction keeps it light and neat, and it is easy for an optician to adjust.

Keep the rest of your look simple and let the frame do the talking. It works just as well with workwear as it does with weekend clothes.

Frame size and fit

At 52mm per lens, it sits in the medium range, the most common adult fit. The 16mm bridge is on the narrow side. The 135mm arms are a standard length. Across the lenses and bridge it measures about 120mm.

The easiest way to check is against glasses you already love. Most frames show their size inside the arm; if yours are close to these, you are in safe territory.

Lens options for the Freya Molly

Pick the lenses that match your prescription:

At 42mm, the lens depth is deeper than most frames in our range, so varifocal lenses have lots of room. With a stronger prescription, a thinner high-index lens keeps the edges slim, and an anti-reflective coating cuts reflections from screens and street lights.

What you will need

Have your prescription to hand before you start. It shows the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye, and sometimes your PD. If the PD is missing, your optician can give it to you. Then choose your colour and lens type, enter your prescription and add any extras, such as thinner lenses or a coating. You can check everything in your basket before you pay.

Looking after them

Can I get varifocal lenses in the Freya Molly?

Yes. The 42mm lens depth gives varifocal lenses enough height for all three vision zones.

Can I use the Freya Molly as computer glasses?

Yes. Single vision lenses set to your screen distance, or varifocals if you also need distance vision, both work well for desk work.

What size is it?

It is size 52-16-135: 52mm lens width, 16mm bridge and 135mm arms, a medium fit.

Will it suit a narrow nose?

Yes. The 16mm bridge is designed for slimmer noses.

Who glazes my lenses?

Our own optical lab in the UK. Your lenses are made to your prescription and fitted into the frame before your glasses are sent to you.
